Lorraine D. Cater

Lorraine D. Cater, age 91 of Hastings died February 16, 2013 at the Regina Nursing Home. Lorraine was born November 12, 1921 in Denmark Township to Ferdinand �Fred� and Ruth (Poore) Pechacek. She married Robert E. Cater on November 26, 1938 in Hastings and had retired from 3M. She was a longtime member of Hastings United Methodist Church and the Wings Bible Study Group. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; daughter and son-in-law Ruth Ann and Larry Dorschner; one sister Ella Hageman; four brothers Edward, Earl, Lawrence and Walter Pechacek. Lorraine is survived by her two sons Lyle (Sarah) Cater of Navarre Beach, FL and Gary (Mary) Cater of Hastings; nine grandchildren Robin Frerich, John Cater, Jill Knott, Tom Cater, Dan Cater, Jaymie Cater, Tonya Brake, Rob Shingledecker and Rhonda Nielsen; also 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother William Pechacek and five sisters Loretta Gorgus, Leona Chilson, Josephine George, Dorothy Meyer, and Helen Rasmussen. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Christopher Kneen will be held 11 AM Monday, February 25, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth St., Hastings with visitation two hours prior to the service at church.
