Lorelie Lee Anderson, age 85 of Hastings, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026.
Lorelie grew up on Selby and Dale in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating from Central High School, she worked for Remington Rand (Univac) where she represented the company as a princess in the St. Paul Winter Carnival Queen of the Snows pageant. This highlight of her career sparked interest from another Remington employee, David R. Anderson, and they were married on January 9, 1960, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. During their marriage they raised four children. Lorelie had an in-home day care business which kept her busy. When she turned forty-five, she went to work for Herberger’s Retail. She worked at Herberger’s until she was seventy-five years young. She spent the last several years taking care of David until he passed in 2024.
Throughout her life she thrived on her social interactions with all her friends and family. Her door was always open for whoever might walk through it. She had an action-based faith which was borne out in all the people that she drew in and gathered up. Lorelie died surrounded by her family and friends with a heart which was grateful for all of them.
Lorelie is survived by her children, David (Kathy), Dawn (Todd) Siebenaler, and Diana (Jon) Mitchell; her daughter-in-law, Diana Anderson; Joan McIntyre; her grandchildren, Katie (Andy) Otto, Jeffery (Kristina) Mitchell, Colleen (Mitch) Larson, John Anderson, Andrew Mitchell, Abigail Anderson, Lilly Anderson, Will Anderson, and Claudia McIntyre; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kyler, Maddyn, Mila, Wesley, and Mckenna; her sister, Kandy (Russ) Unger; and brother, Steve Kissling; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her son, Bradley; her parents, Virgil and Gladys (Olson) Kissling; and her sister and brother-in-law, Rona and David Madsen.
Funeral Services will be held at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, Minnesota at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the time of service.
