Lonnie was a graduate of Henry Sibley High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy in the early 1960’s. He married Kathleen in 1965 and raised five children. He worked in the farm equipment industry for Edney Distributing for many years. During retirement, he worked for Home Depot in Burnsville, where he had many friends and truly enjoyed his time. A devoted parishioner of Mary, Mother of the Church, he faithfully served the Knights of Columbus for many years, ultimately serving as Grand Knight.

Lonnie was the ultimate family man who loved nothing more than sharing adventures with his children and grandchildren. For many years, he made weekends truly magical, creating lasting memories just by spending casual time together. Whether he was traveling to see new sights, riding the rails, or keeping his long-standing Friday tradition of taking the grandkids to McDonald's, Lonnie cherished every journey and every moment with those he loved.

Lonnie is survived by Son Joe (Cheryl) Landru, Daughters Tammy (Chris) Ohman, Nancy (John) Hertzog, Holly Landru, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and Son in Law Bruce Doeden.
