Lloyd B. Swanson

Lloyd B. Swanson, age 87, of Hastings died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Regina Nursing Home. Lloyd was born August 7, 1923 in Welch, MN to Albert and Hannah (Lundberg) Swanson. He married Lorraine B. Samuelson on June 19, 1948 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Welch. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Bahls Motor and Implement. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lloyd is survived by his wife Lorraine; daughter Noreen, and son Gary, both of Hastings; also his special 4 legged friend Ziggy. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin, will be held at 2PM Monday, December 20, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
