Lisa T. Agen, age 44, of West St. Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 31, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. It all happened very quickly, and she faced it with quiet strength and grace.
Lisa was born on January 20, 1981, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to John and Teresa (Wiese) Trapp. She grew up in West St. Paul and graduated from Henry Sibley High School. From an early age, Lisa enjoyed riding her bike, spending time with friends, and sharing a close and special bond with her mom, whom she later lovingly cared for as her primary caregiver. Shopping at Maplewood Mall was one of her favorite pastimes.
In 2002, Lisa met the love of her life, Steve Agen, and their first date to Valleyfair began a lifelong journey together. They married in 2004 and built a strong and loving partnership. Together, they enjoyed trips to the North Shore, sightseeing, shopping excursions, dining out, and simply being in each other’s company. Lisa found joy in caring for her home and family, and her thoughtful, generous, and friendly spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was big-hearted, honest, and the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back.
Lisa will be dearly missed by her husband, Steve Agen; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mel and Tricia Agen; her cousin, Elizabeth Copeland; her uncles, Joe Wiese and David Wiese; her aunt, Mary (Wayne) Copeland; her brothers-in-law, Tim Agen and Mike Agen; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Teresa Trapp; her grandma Wiese; and her aunt, Christine Wiese.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 400 West 9th Street, Hastings, Minnesota, with a visitation one hour prior from 10:00–11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service, and burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel is handling the arrangements.
