Hastings Chapel

Linda L. Tix, age 74 of Hastings, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a hard-fought battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Linda was born on May 18, 1951, in Hastings, Minnesota to Leo and June (Perry) Siebenaler. One of eight children, she grew up on the family farm south of town where hard work, faith, and family shaped the person she became.

She met the love of her life, Walter "Wally" Tix, in high school and they were married in 1970. They shared 55 wonderful years together and raised their two children, Julie and Brian, on the Siebenaler family property. They lived there until recently when her health required a move.

A hairdresser by trade, and in her own words, the best damn hairdresser in Hastings, Linda poured her heart into her work and the people she served. At home, she was a devoted wife and mom who ran the household with love. She adored her grandchildren, taking them on little adventures and cherishing every moment spent with them.

Wednesdays were her special day off, always reserved for the grandkids and followed by a big family dinner. She was a wonderful baker, a talented quilter, and a fantastic gardener. In retirement, she especially enjoyed visiting Walmart where she always found someone to chat with. Linda had many circles of friends, loved them all dearly, and was known for her warm, social, and caring nature. Her faith carried her throughout her life and was a steady foundation for her and her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wally; her children, Julie Tix and Brian (Jamie) Tix; her grandchildren, Josh, Kalley (Quentin), Ryley (Maija), Tanner, Ruby (Isaac), and Leo; her siblings, Steve (Vicki) Siebenaler, Trish Schaack, Nancy (Dave) Angerman, Judy Siebenaler (Deral Bookout), Dave (Mary) Siebenaler, Donna (Don) Christianson; along with many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, and her beloved cat, Princess.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo & June Siebenaler; and her sister, Vic.
