Leo F. Knowlton

Leo F. Knowlton, age 91, of Hastings died September 26, 2011 at his residence. Leo was born August 14, 1920 in Stanton Township, MN to Asa and Ellen (Tracy) Knowlton. He was united in marriage to Theresa M. Feidt on April 16, 1947 in New Trier. Leo worked at St. Paul Ammoniaprior tohis retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Shawn Mack and siblings Roy, Paul and Ellie. Leo is survived by his children Patricia (Curtis) Olson of Lakeville, Bill (Linda) Knowlton of Cannon Falls, Phyllis (Todd) Reuther of Hastings and Bev (Joe) Ries of Hastings; grandchildren Shane Olson, Chad (Andrea) and Cory (Julie) Knowlton, Andrea (Sam) Cheney and McKaya Reuther, Zachary Reuther,Jacob and Adam Ries; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Kathryn Miller of Cannon Falls; sister-in-law Jane Knowlton of Cannon Falls. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. James Perkl will be held 10:30AM Thursday, September 29, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment with full military honors provided by Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in the parish cemetery. Leo�s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
