Leander Reinardy

Leander Reinardy, age 69, of Hastings, died January 10, 2010 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.Leander was born February 27, 1940 in New Trier to Mathias and Magdalene (Beissel) Reinardy. He served in the Army, and worked as a forklift operator at Con Agra. Leander enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing cards.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Arnold. Leander is survived by his children, Keith Reinardy, Melissa (Darek) Pugh, and Brad (Elisha) Reinardy, all of Hastings; grandchildren, Layna, Samantha, Raelyn, and Carter; former wife Vivian of Hastings; brothers, Ollie (Marilyn) Reinardy, and Gene (Joanne) Reinardy, both of Hastings;sisters, Delores Knoll, Lorraine (Arnie) Kimmes, Rose Huberty, and Monica (Glen) Snyder, all of Hastings; many other relatives and friends.Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, will be held at 10AM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth Street, Hastings. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh Street, Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Reinardy, Randy Knoll, Rick Snyder, David Huberty, Ryan Reinardy, and Joe Kimmes.
