Lawrence "Larry" R. Rowan

Lawrence R. "Larry" Rowan, age 72, of Hastings died Tuesday September 12, 2017 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.Lawrence was born August 10, 1945, in St. Paul to Walter and Catherine (Ryan) Rowan. He grew up in and attended the Hastings schools. Larry married Joanne (Richter) December 24, 1990 in Hastings. He worked in maintenance for Walmart and was a very hard worker. Larry was an avid hunter and he greatly enjoyed going to the casino.Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tina, 1 sister Shirley Ringeisen, 3 brothers James, Richard and William. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; children Robert (Fiance Lisa Pilot) Rowan, Elvis Rowan, Justin (Angie) Rowan, Sandy Rowan, Ken (Brittany Nappin) Heath, and Missy (Sean) McMurray; grandchildren Cody, Amanda, Jason, Avery and Caleb; his sister Donna Janssen, sister-in-law Dorothy Rowan; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.Funeral service for Larry will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel. A visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the funeral. Interment will take place in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery in Hastings.
