Lawrence 'Bud' Dockin

Laurence “Bud” Dockin,
Age 98, a longime resident of South Minneapolis, born July 4, 1912 in Caribou, MN to Louis and Selena Dockin, died peacefully in his sleep Sep. 9, 2010. Bud was a proud member of the Twin City Pipe Trades Local #539 for over 60 years and he continued to help family and friends with plumbing needs well into his 80’s. He is preceded in death by wife, Elnora; grandsons: Kenneth, Brian and Mark and brother, Alfred. Bud was a wonderful and caring man who will be dearly missed by his children: Cleo Dockin, Linda (Mike) Roth and Dale Dockin (Lee Connelly); many grandchildren and geat-grandchildren; brother, Vernon Dokken and several other family and friends. Special thanks to the caring staff at Golden Living in Bloomington. A visitation will be held 5-7 pm, Wednesday, Sep. 15, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Avenue S., Mpls. and also ? hour before the service Thursday. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, Sep. 16, at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Mpls. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
