Laurence "Larry" Hunter

Laurence �Larry� Hunter, age 83, of Hastings died July 8, 2010 at his home. Larry was born December 1, 1926 in Waterford, MN to Laurence and Mary (Hendricks) Hunter. He was a former member of the Merchant Marines and married Eleanor Kummer on October 8, 1947. Larry was Regional Director of OCAW for many years prior to retirement. He loved traveling and the outdoors. He was also active in local and regional politics. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers James and Michael. Larry is survived by his sister Elizabeth Kane of Hastings; sister-in-law Maxine Hunter of Tulsa, OK; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen will be held at 11AM Friday, July 16, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings with a visitation two hours prior to the service at church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery, with military honors provided by the Hastings V.F.W. Lyle Russell Post #1210. Memorials are preferred.
