Laura A. Braun

Laura Ann Amelia Braun, 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by many of her loved ones on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, in Hastings, Minnesota.

Laura was born on January 12th, 1953 to Edward A Braun and Rita M Braun (Meyers) in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1972. During her final years of high school, Laura attended Ritter Beauty School and became a beautician. Later, Laura worked at the St. Paul Company/Travelers for 20+ years. She spent her retirement years working part-time at Gifts Galore, downtown Hastings.

Laura liked to spend her free time golfing, bowling, doing needle work and ceramics. Laura was a kind and loving soul whose main passion in life was her family.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stephen Braun.

Laura is survived by her siblings, Sharon Braun, Pete Braun (Barb), and Jean Levine (Douglas); nieces and nephews, Brian Braun, Daniel Braun (Maria), Tony Braun (Courtney) Samantha Levine (s/o George Lynaugh), Anna Van Wie (Brian), Jamie Carlson (Jordan), Phillip Levine (fiancé Valorie Lukkarila) and Steven Levine (Sydney); great nieces and nephews, Ellie, Olivia, Avery, Adelyn, Cecilia, and Delia Levine, Nessa, Declan, and Jordi Van Wie, Calvin, Maebel, and Delaney Carlson, Kimber and Barrett Levine, Xavier and Daimen Braun, Isabella Kasel, Kendall and Emery Braun; many other relatives and life long friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 28 at 12:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Vermillion with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Vermillion. A wake will be held the night before on Sunday, August 27 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, Hastings.
