Kim M. Larson

Kimberly M. Larson, age 62, of Hastings died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Regina Medical Center in Hastings. Kim was born October 11, 1955, to Charles R. Prahl and Helen M. (Huneke) in Red Wing, MN. She attended Red Wing Schools and married James Larson March 31, 1972. She was a long time employee at Smead Manufacturing in Hastings. Kim loved quilting, cooking for her family, and riding her motorcycle. Kim is preceded in death by her husband Jim Larson, her father Charles R. Prahl, her mother Helen M. Williams, her step father T.J. Williams. She is survived by her daughters Teresa (Tony) Nelson and Andrea Larson, of Hastings; grandsons Logan and Zach; her siblings Mary (Don) Nappin, Charlie (Nancy) Prahl, Melissa (Jeff) Kading, Robert (Jo) Prahl; also by several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory, 201 7th St. E., Hastings, MN; and will continue Thursday 1 hour prior to the service. The Memorial Service, conducted by Gordon Gathright, will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 am, at Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory. Interment will take place at the Prairie Island Community Cemetery.
