Kenneth William Strassburger, age 72, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away on March 30, 2026.

Kenneth was born on September 23, 1953, in St. Paul to William and Sue (Meier) Strassburger. He grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School. Ken went on to work for Conagra, where he dedicated 30 years of service before retiring.

Ken, affectionately known as “Kenny” to many, lived life fully and on his own terms. He was an avid pool player and loved spending time banging on the drums. He was well known for his legendary garage sales and trips to flea markets, always searching for the next treasure. Kenny enjoyed fishing, camping, and gathering with family and friends around the huge fires he would build on Tanglewood Island.

Kenny had a gift for connecting with people. He loved sharing jokes, riddles, and endless stories with anyone who would listen. Known for his incredibly kind and generous heart, Kenny delighted in giving small gifts and trinkets to the people he encountered—waitstaff, nurses, doctors, family members, friends, and even complete strangers. To Kenny, you were only a stranger once before becoming a friend.

One of his cherished traditions was giving Christmas gifts wrapped in tin foil, making sure that no one was ever forgotten. His imagination was exceptional, and he loved creating and designing fun and memorable scenes for others to enjoy. Nothing brought Kenny more happiness than giving to others—it was truly his love language.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sue Strassburger; and his sisters, Carol Rohr and Mary Jo Olson.

Kenny is survived by his children, Jake (Chrissie Haas) Strassburger, Joel (Kim) Strassburger, and Casey (Tavis) Gillard; his grandchildren, Felix, Logan, Ethan, and Kari; his sister, Joanne (Jim) Seifert; and his aunt, Emma Seeger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory with them always.

Kenny will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, and remembered for his generosity, humor, and the kindness he freely shared with the world. #Lucky13
