Keith Warner Johnson

Keith W. Johnson, 73, of Hastings, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2026.

Keith was born in Saint Paul, MN on March 23, 1953 to Warner and Helen (Kurrelmier) Johnson. He grew up in Saint. Paul, MN and graduated from Johnson High School in 1971. Keith went on to study computers at TVI, which is now Saint Paul Tech. Keith worked various jobs during his lifetime. He worked at a grocery store in Saint Paul, then the Hastings School District, later rental stores, and finally Total Tool until he retired.

In 1979, Keith met Brenda Floan on a blind date set up by one of his friends. They married on September 18, 1982 and moved to Hastings in 1984. They built their lives together around their three children; daughter, Veronica and twin sons, Joseph and Matthew. They enjoyed their lives together raising their children and camping.

Keith enjoyed tinkering in the garage, being outside, being with his family, traveling, and watching his grandkids grow.

Keith is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Brenda; grandparents; father, Warner Johnson; parents-in-law, Marlow and Arlene Floan; brother-in-law, Richard Hepsak; and sister-in-law, Sue Johnson.

Keith is survived by his three children, Veronica (Joseph) Schroeder, Joseph Johnson, Matthew (Diana) Johnson; five grandchildren, Jocelyn and Julianne Schroeder; Richard, Lillian, Robert Johnson; mother, Helen Johnson; siblings, Dianne (Dave) Tingstad, Bruce (Cyndi) Johnson, Kurt (Bobbi) Johnson, Shari (Dan) Robinson, Sandy (Rick) Krevinghaus, and Ron (Sharon) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Cindy Hepsak, Marilyn (Kim) Macik; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Keith was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He always had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with everyone. He will be truly missed by so many, especially his children and grandchildren. Although we will miss him, we will all rest a little easier knowing he is with the love of his life Brenda.
