Keith J. Mccallum

Keith McCallum, age 79 of Hastings and formerly Denmark Township and Prescott, died suddenly but peacefully on Saturday evening, February 8, 2020, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Hastings. Keith John, the son of Percy and Gladys (Rosenquist) McCallum, as born on December 24, 1940, in Hastings. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1958, Keith began his lifelong farming career in Denmark Township. Today, the family farm is operated by Keith's son, Robert. Keith also served on the Denmark Township Board for many years as well. He had a passion for woodworking, making several heirlooms for his family and friends, loved gardening, animals and collecting antique tractors. Upon his retirement from farming, Keith moved to Prescott, WI, where he began working for Eaton Plumbing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by one sister, Elaine (Paul) McCready. Keith is survived by his long time companion DeAnna Christiansen and her extended family; former wife Judith (Goebel) McCallum; children, Scott (Nancy), Robert (Vicky), Karen (Steve) all of Hastings; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Alex (Julie), Ryan (Jordan), Marissa, Adam, Matthew and three great-granddaughters, Charlotte, Avery, Clara; one niece, Kathy (Dale) Wolpers; and by other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with a luncheon following, on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Interment will follow at Old Cottage Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
