Kathryn Keller Tornblom, affectionately known throughout her life as “Sis,” passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on November 6, 1941, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Albert and Zita Keller.
Kathryn lived a life centered on family, love, and quiet strength. In her early life, she worked as a nurse. After marrying her beloved husband, Neal, and starting a family, she devoted her life to being a wife and mother. She had a remarkable way of opening her home and heart to others, offering love, stability, and unwavering support to those who needed it most. She also had a great love of animals, and her home was always filled with pets who were cherished as part of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Zita Keller; her sister, Ann Lulloff; and her brother, Albert “Buzz” Keller.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Neal; her children: Jane Marquette (Morris), Lisa Nelson (Brad), Stephen Tornblom, and Scott Tornblom (Susan), and Jimmie Kelley (Mollie), whom she welcomed into her home and cared for as her own; her grandchildren: Jacob, Taylor, Adam, Tristan, Audrey, and Emilie; her great-grandchildren: Elijah, Aries, Casey, and Nyara; dear friends who were like family, James Fahy, Tami Holm, and Brigitte Ludvigsen; numerous friends in Ireland, where she and her family lived for three years; and many friends in general whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
Kathryn will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the steady presence she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her family and all who knew her.
