Kathryn D. Gustafson

Gustafson, Kathryn D. “Katie”, age 90 of Eagan, passed away 10/11/2010 at Walker Methodist Health Center from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Preceded in death by parents, Peter & Clara Duerst; sister, Edna Ostrander; brothers, George & Leonard Duerst. Survived by husband of 65 years, Marvin; daughters, Nancy (Gerald) Huss, Surprise, AZ, Gail (Kenneth) Kristiansen, New Prague, MN, Karen (Todd) Randall, Felton, CA; son, David, Blaine, MN; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and friends. Katie was born in Mosinee, WI and grew to young womanhood at the home of her great aunt, Mrs. Mary Mehne, Almond, WI. During the WWII years she was emplyed as a Clerk – Stenographer for the war dept. in the Pentagon bldg. After her first daughter was born she became a permanent homemaker. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at Minnehaha United Methodist Church, 3701 E. 50th St., Mpls with visitation one hour before. Interment Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Memorials preferred to Minnehaha United Methodist Church.
