Kathleen E. Langeslay

Kathleen E. Langeslay, age 73 of Hastings, died peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at her home following an extended illness.Kathleen Elizabeth "Kathy" was born April 9, 1942 in Hastings to Conrad and Elizabeth (Leifeld) Fuchs. She graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1959 and married Frederic "Rick" Langeslay in Hastings on May 7, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederic "Rick"; brother, Gerald Fuchs; sisters in law, Peggy and Pat Fuchs; brothers in law, Pete Beissel and Bruce Holien. Kathy is survived by her children, Lisa Langeslay-Glenn (Bob) of Hastings, Barb Iacarella-Fudali (Jim) of Lino Lakes and Tim Langeslay (Lina) of Harris, MN; grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah and Katie Iacarella, Jacob Langeslay, Brandon and Danielle Fudali; siblings, Eugene "Gene" Fuchs of Hastings, Paul Fuchs (Juanita) of AZ, Richard "Dick" Fuchs (Dorothy) of Hastings, Mary Holien of Vermillion, Diane Beissel of Hastings, Conrad "Connie" Fuchs of Hastings and Michael Fuchs (Mary) of Huron, SD; also sister in law Marilyn Fuchs and other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings officiated by Rev. Chris Kneen and Rev. Jason Peterson. A private family interment will be held in Lakeside Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East 7th Street, Hastings, and will continue on Wednesday at church for one hour prior to the service.
