Katherine "Kaye" (Marschall) Fischer

Katherine "Kaye" (Marschall) Fischer, age 61 of Mendota Heights, died peacefully on Monday morning, August 7, 2017, at Roseview Assisted Living in Rosemount, following a bravely-fought eleven year battle with cancer. Katherine Margaret, the daughter of Bernard and Colleen (Feipel) Marschall, was born on February 28, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Following her graduation as Valedictorian from Hastings High School with the class of 1974, Kaye continued her education at St. Catherines and later graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. On June 12, 1982, she was united in marriage to Michael Fischer at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton and recently celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary. Kaye was a highly respected Consultant Pharmacist, gardener, and a voracious reader. Kaye was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who consistently cared for and loved those she was around. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kaye is survived by her husband, Michael of Mendota Heights; her four daughters, Joanie (Scott) Baltes, Andrea Fischer, Maria Fischer (fianc, Brandon Groth), and Michelle (Erik) Graham; her grandchildren, Juliet Baltes, and Scarlett Camila Leon and her father, Cristian Leon; the extended Marschall family; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton, with Father Michael Tix officiating. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings, and will continue for one hour prior to Mass at church on Friday morning.
