Karen M. Schulte

Karen M. Schulte, age 67, of Hastings died March 17, 2010 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Karen was born May 5, 1942 in St. Paul to Russell and Harriet (Prochaska) Kenny. She was a graduate of St. Agnes High School. Karen was united in marriage to Leonard S. Schulte on June 14, 1975. She was a homemaker, and loved quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents; and late husband Jack Phipps. Karen is survived by her husband Leonard; children Gerald Phipps of St. Paul Park, James Phipps of St. Paul, Matthew (Stacy) Schulte of Hastings, and Kristine (Todd) Miller of Oakdale; granddaughters Brianne and Brittany; and brothers Pat Kenny and Michael Kenny. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, will be 10AM Monday, March 22, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-8PM Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Lori Tollefsbol, Chris Tollefsbol, Mike Schulte, Ryan Kenny, Casey Kenny, and Joe Kenny.
