Kaete H. Trede

TREDE,Kaete Hulda Trede, age 94, of Hastings passed away at Regina Nursing Home March 19, 2009. Kaete was born March 22, 1914, to Harry and Alma Batel in Hamburg, Germany. She married Otto Trede in Hamburg, Germany on October 7, 1939. With her husband and daughter, Janet, she moved to the United States in 1953. After arriving they lived in Marengo, Forest Park and Lombard, IL. Upon Otto's retirement in 1977, Otto and Kaete moved to Leaf Lake near Henning, MN. In 1986 they moved to Hastings, MN to be near their daughter, Janet, and her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Hildegard and Herbert Woller; and brother-in-law, Erich Sittart. She is survived by her husband, Otto Trede of Hastings; daughter, Janet (Neil) Misegades of Hastings; grandchildren, Todd of Hastings and Lara of Berkeley, CA; sister, Carmen Sittart of Germany; nephews, Horst Woller of Germany and Heiner (Ute) Woller of Germany. A private Memorial Service, with Gordon Gathright officiating, was held Sunday (3/22) at Wise Family Funeral Home in Hastings. Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
