June Loretta Bucklin

Loretta 'June' Bucklin, age 80, died October 1, 2011 in Hastings, MN. June was born to Robert and Ida Bucklin in Milaca, MN. She grew up on a farm near Hines, MN, and during her adult life lived throughout northern MN. June was known for her friendly smile, delicious home-cooked meals, the best baked goods, a tidy home and plenty of time for family and friends. She was a very hard worker and always took great pride in doing her best at jobs including waitressing, working for MN DNR, and managing an apartment building for many years. June enjoyed traveling, reading, baking, playing board and card games, e-mailing, and making greeting cards.June was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Almendinger and Walter E. Zimmer. She is survived by her children, Kathy Almendinger; Jeri (Rick) Schmidt; J. Albert (Dawn) Almendinger; grandchildren, Jennifer Schmidt; Lisa (Seth) Rich; Josh (Tasha) Almendinger; Jerry Almendinger; great-grandson, Max Schmidt; brothers, Fred (Rita) Anderson; Richard (Nancy) Bucklin; James (Cheryl) Bucklin; Ralph (Pauline) Bucklin; several nieces and nephews; other family members.June was buried at Fort Snelling with her husband, Wally, on October 6, 2011.
