Judith M. Mccallum

Judith M. age 77, of Hastings, passed away March 14, 2022 at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Hastings. Judy was born in Hastings to August "Hunce" and Margaret (Murphy) Goebel on March 28, 1944. She was a longtime Farmer in Denmark Township who enjoyed working with her hands. She loved to crochet, spend time doing needlepoint and she made hundreds of Afghans over the years. Judy was a volunteer at Hastings Family Service, helping with Just Friends Transportation. She spent her final years at Oak Ridge Assisted Living where she enjoyed and appreciated her relationship with the wonderful staff. She is preceded in death by Keith McCallum; father, August "Hunce" Goebel; mother, Margaret Goebel; step mother, Katherine "Babe" Goebel; brother, Bernard Goebel; and sister, Rita Mae Novak. Judy is survived by her children, Scott (Nancy) McCallum, Robert (Victoria) McCallum, and Karen McCallum (Steve Sylvander); grandchildren, Nicholas (Clarissa), Alexander (Julie), Ryan (Jordan), Marissa, Adam, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Avery, Clara, Broderick, and Jack; siblings, John (Kim) Goebel, Tom (Mary Ann) Goebel; sister-in-law, Juanita Goebel, brother-in-law, Don Novak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service, officiated by Fr. Dave Hennen, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, Old Cottage Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
