Judith "Judy" Benston

Judith “Judy” Benston passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1947, in California, the daughter of Emma and J.D. Foster. Judy was raised in Southern California and later earned her GED, a milestone she was proud to achieve.

Throughout her life, Judy held a variety of jobs, most notably working for over ten years at Better Care Medical, a hospital supply company. She also stayed home to care for her two children, Will and Yvette.

Judy had a deep love for crafting of all kinds. She especially enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework, cake decorating, and creating snowmen for craft fairs. Her creativity was something she generously shared with others, including teaching crafting and sewing classes at Benedictine Assisted Living.

Above all else, Judy cherished her family. She loved spending time with them, listening to stories about their lives, and watching her children and grandchildren grow. Family brought her immense joy.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and J.D. Foster; her husband, David Benston; her brother, Dale Foster; and her son-in-law, Kevin Delarbre.

She is survived by her children, Will (Tanya) Vervair and Yvette (fiancé, Scott Corwin) Delarbre; her grandchildren, Emerson Vervair, Sarah (boyfriend, Kenny Mead) Schmitt, and Isaac Vervair; her great-grandchildren, Andre Garcia, Amirah Mead, and Abigail Mead; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor’s choice.
