Joyce M Slater

Joyce M. Slater, age 67 of Minneapolis, born May 21, 1942 in Newport News, VA to Fredrick and Georgia Slater, passed away April 24, 2010. Joyce was an accomplished pianist. She was employed by UPS for 17 years and later worked at Lyndale Elementary School for many years. Survived by daughters, Cynthia ?Cece? Greenhalgh (fianc?, David LaValle) and Gloria McCarty; grandchildren: Michael Greenhalgh, Michele Greenhalgh and Stephanie McCarty; great-granddaughter, Marina Ray Norcross and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4PM, Friday, April 30, at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Twin Cities.
