Joseph Sanderson

Joseph Sanderson, age 22 of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from injuries sustained in an accident. Joseph, the son of Chad and Amy (Raway) Sanderson, was born in Hastings on April 9, 1996. He grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 2014. When Joseph walked in, his smile would light up the room. He was a hard-working country boy that loved Chevy trucks, deer hunting, hanging out with friends, playing hockey and various card games. He also enjoyed playing videogames. He had a great relationship with his siblings, family and friends. He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Harold and Anna Raway and Gerald and Delores Frandrup. Joseph is survived by parents, Amy and Chad Sanderson; siblings, Laura, Logan, and Isabella Sanderson; grandparents, Joe and Helen Raway, Gordy and Kerry Simon, and Randy Sanderson; aunts, uncles, and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Josephs Life will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Almquist Farm, 21321 Polk Avenue in Hastings, with Troy Weathers, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Following the service, a visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
