Joseph J. Schiller

Joseph J. Schiller, age 80 of Hampton died October 23, 2013 at his residence. Joseph was born October 12, 1933 in Hampton Township to Adam and Susan (Kuhn) Schiller. He married Delphina Beissel on October 15, 1955 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in New Trier. Joseph formerly owned and operated Schiller�s Paint and Repair, was a former employee at Dell Dahn Construction and River Country Cooperative. He was a former member of the Randolph Hampton Fire Dept. and was active in his snowmobile club. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Lucille Schiller; son Joseph; great-granddaughter Kylee and brother Herbert. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Delphina; children Dorothy (John) Feidt, Jim (Linda) Schiller, Steve (Deb) Schiller and Anita (Gene) Meyers; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister Bernice Schaffer and brother Leonard Schiller; also many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 26 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Hampton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers are Mike Schiller-Feidt, Josh Schiller, Nick Schiller, Anthony Meyers, Brad Schiller, Matt Meyers, James Schiller Jr. and Chris Feidt. Honorary pallbearers are past and present members of the Randolph Hampton Fire Dept.
