Joseph F. Mackey

Joseph F. Mackey, age 54, of Hastings, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his home. Joseph was born December 5, 1954 in St. Paul to James and Janet (Cross) Mackey. He was a 1973 graduate of Hastings High School and had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. Joseph married Mary Timm on June 3, 1993 in Inver Grove Heights. He was preceded in death by his mother; and is survived by his wife Mary; sons Michael Boyd Joseph Mackey Jr., both of Kansas; also 5 grandchildren; father James Mackey of Cottage Grove; sister Judy Shibata of Inver Grove Heights; and 3 brothers John, Jim, Jeff Mackey, all of Hastings. The Memorial Serviceofficiated by Rev. Dave Schierenbeckwill be held at 11am Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings with a gathering held 1 hour prior to the service.
