John W. Vogelgesang

John W. Vogelgesang, age 58 of Siren, Wisconsin, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2021. John William, the son of Leo and Audrey (LaMaster) Vogelgesang, was born on January 17, 1963, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Following his graduation from Cottage Grove High School, John continued his education and was a proud Sheetmetal Union worker until his retirement. John loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, and to be outdoors. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren with all of his heart, and cherished the time they spent together. He was able to live out his dream by buying a lake place for himself. He called this his paradise and was at peace there. He was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his children, Dustin (Emily) Vogelgesang, Amber (Dustin) Strong and David (Jordan) Vogelgesang; grandkids, Carter, Elaina, Josie, Evelyn, and Stella; brothers, Jim (Sue) Vogelgesang, Andy (Diana) Vogelgesang, David (Kelly) Vogelgesang, and Tom Vogelgesang; sisters, Cindy (Kevin) Meyer and Heidi (Dennis) Palmer; and by many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with Pastor Jim Bzoskie officiating. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and to a reception immediately following the service, all at the funeral home on Thursday. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
