Age 83 of Farmington, originally St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Tom McElligott; sisters, Patricia Lang and Elizabeth Ruhnow. Survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Thomas (fiancé Jenny Rath), Timothy, Theodore (Stephanie) McElligott; grandchildren, Jordan (Joshua) Heyman, Madisyn, Taylor and Sidney; great-grandchildren, Koston and Olivia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Tues., Feb. 13, 2018 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church (4030 Pilot Knob Rd, Eagan), with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to donor’s choice.
