John P. Grier

John P. Grier, an avid outdoorsman, age 50, of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly at the cabin in Siren, WI on July 21, 2013. He was born to James and Joan Grier in Hastings on September 8, 1962.He was preceded in death by sister, Sue and brother in law, Mark “Pete” Peterson. John is survived by his parents, James and Joan Grier; sisters, Becky Matsch; Jill (Wayne) Brandt; Brigitte (Jerry) Frandrup; Shannon (Fred) Brandt; Johanna (Bruce) Perry; brother, Scott (Sharon Binman) Grier; 14 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; 3 step nephews; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings on Friday (7/26) at 12 noon. A visitation will be held two hours prior to mass at church. Private Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
