John Michael Sorenson

John Michael Sorenson, age 18 of Hastings was called home unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2012. John was born October 8, 1993 in Burnsville, MN to Stephen and Kris (Martinson) Sorenson. He was a senior at Hastings High School this year. John is survived by his parents Steve Sorenson of Hastings and Kris Sorenson of Minneapolis; brother Jamie (Keith Johnson) Sorenson of Minneapolis, sister Janel Sorenson and brother Jesse Sorenson, both of Hastings; niece Madyson and nephewTyler; his two grandmothers Mary Sorenson and Ruth Martinson; also several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The Funeral Service, officiated by Fr. James Perkl and Rev. Doug Duin will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. The pallbearers are Jamie Sorenson, Janel Sorenson, Jesse Sorenson, Danny Gove, Jerid Lucking, Jake Elliott, and Josh John.
