John Mcgran Steele

John McGran Steele, 56, of Rosemount passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He was born August 11, 1957 in Mankato, Minnesota to Richard and Jeanette (nee McGran) Steele. John is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary Kay (nee Thul); two sons, Eric and Evan; father, Richard (Ramona); and brothers, Mark (Barb), Steve (Pam) and Dave (Mary); and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette. John was a wonderful, devoted, and kind-hearted family man whose generous heart blessed all who knew him. He served as a Catechist and Eucharist Minister at his church and was a leader for Cub and Boy Scouts. Countless other organizations benefited from John’s selfless charitable acts.
A Gathering of Family and Friends is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1 from 4-7 PM at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, and one hour prior to the 11 AM Mass on Wednesday, October 2 at the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 County Road 42, Burnsville. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
