John Makarenko, age 76, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital in St. Paul on January 10, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine; children, Lynda (Troy) Williams; Steve Makarenko; and Daniel Stewart; grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Jacob, Alysha, Andrew, and Alleshia; sisters, Nadia Makarenko, and Luba Rohweder; brother, Tony (Roseann) Makarenko; other relatives and golf buddies. A Funeral Service will be held on Thurs. (1/14) at 11:00 AM at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
