John "Jack" Ruhr

John �Jack� W. Ruhr, age 84 of Hastings died Saturday, July 20, 2013. Jack was born August 26, 1928 in Hastings to John and Theresa (O�Shaughnessey) Ruhr. He is a graduate from Hastings High School. He was a farmer until the late 70�s when he began his bartending career.Early in his life he became involved with the Miesville Mudhens baseball organization, eventually becoming President of the organization. He was also very instrumental in the construction and maintenance of the ball field that was eventually named for him on July 4, 1990. Jack was inducted into the Halls of Fame of the Miesville Mudhens and the MN Amateur Baseball Association.Jack is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. He is preceded by his parents, two sisters Bernardine Kimmes Stenson Dolores Reuter, and nephew Lawrence Reuter.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Fernando Ortega will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church inMiesville, MN. Avisitation will be held at the church from 4-8pm on Monday July 22, 2013 and also one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
