John G. age 61 of Minneapolis, born November 7, 1946 to John, Jr. and Mae Townsend in Minneapolis, went to be with his Lord October 24, 2008. John is survived by daughters, Tina and Julie Townsend; grandchildren: Darren, Brandon, Nathan, Travis, Mary and Audrice; great-grandchildren: Chasyti, Jada, Darren, Jr., Dakota, Ahjaleah and Dyami; siblings: Barb Fasching, Carol (Jim) Lindberg, Dale Townsend and Gary Townsend; nieces; nephews, family, friends and special friends at HCMC. Visitation is 4-8 PM, Wednesday, October 29, at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Minneapolis and also one half hour before the service Thursday. Funeral service, 10AM, Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis. Interment to follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
