John C. Iverson

John Charles Iverson, age 64, of Hastings, passed away January 11, 2019. He was born August 17, 1954 at Regina Memorial Hospital in Hastings to Harold & Lavonne Iverson. He Graduated from Hastings High school in 1972. John married Nancy Engeldinger on April 12, 1980 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He lived in Cannon Falls on his Grandpa & Grandma Carlson’s farm for 32 years before moving back to Hastings and building a new home. John worked as a Service Technician for Culligan for 40 years. He loved the annual deer hunting trips with his cousins to International Falls and with his son and friends on the farm in Cannon Falls. John enjoyed fishing with friends – especially at Joe’s cabin in WI. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Pat (Christy) Iverson; daughter, Lisa Iverson; grandchildren, Hayden, Sydney, and Daxton all of Hastings; siblings, Cheryl (Dan) Ross of River Falls, WI, Janel (Tim) Behrends of Hastings, Jerry (Trisha) Iverson 0f Milwaukee, WI, and Sandy (Mike) Scharr of Hastings; aunt, Kathryn Goldsberry; and many brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (1/16) at 11:00 AM at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. A gathering will be held on Tuesday (1/15) from 4-7 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel – Wise Chapel, 400 Spring St., Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
