John B. Exley

John B. Exley, age 88, of Hastings died December 23, 2010. John was born September 4, 1922 in St. Paul to Robert and Christine (Sitzman) Exley. He served in the Army during WWII and married Eileen Lodahl on May 15, 1948 in St. Paul. John had worked in the banking industry in the Twin Cities, including 1st National Bank of Hastings. He was an avid golfer, former Rotarian, member of the Am. Legion, past president of the Hastings Country Club, and founder and former president of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce. He was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen; daughters Joni (Dick) Zimmerman of Stillwater, Christine Exley of Des Moines, WA; and sons Greg and Jeff, both of Hastings. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, will be held 11AM Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. No visitation will be held.
