John Alexander Rankin Jr.

John A. Rankin Jr., age 85, of Hastings, MNdied Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Regina Medical Center. He was born October 3, 1922 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to John Alexander and Isabella (McBride) Rankin. John had entered the Royal Navy at age 16 to serve during W.W.II. He married Edna (Jack) on March 12, 1955 in New York City and had worked in the construction industry until retirement.John was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Edna on February 14, 1991. He is survived by 2 daughters, Helen Myshin of Hastings and Heather (Louis) Brouillard of Plantation, FL; also 5 grandchildren, Sara and Thomas Mangan, Wyatt Brouillard, John and Michael Myshin; his brother Kenneth (Betty) Rankin and sister Helen (Basil) Walmsley all of Belfast, Northern Ireland.Memorial Services will be held in Florida at a later date.
