Olson, “Joey” V.
Age 69 of Richfield, born December 7, 1946 in Willmar, MN to Clifford & Muriel Olson, passed away December 23, 2015. Joey served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from the StarTribune after 37 years. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Darryl and Dennis. Joey will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Joan; children: Holly (Mike) Coleman, Steffen and Jill (Mike) Schoen; grandchildren: Jake, Adam, Samantha, Mason & Mikayla; sister, Carolyn Loftus; brother, Klinton (Sherri) Olson and many other family and friends. Joey will be privately laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors. Joey’s memorial gathering will be held January 24th, 2016, from noon to 4PM, at Elsie’s Banquet Room, 729 Marshall Street NE, Minneapolis.
