Joan T. Kieffer, age 78, of Hastings, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. She was very involved with the Awana childrens ministry and was a dedicated member of River of Life Church in Hastings for over 30 years. Joan is preceded in death by infant son, Jason, and infant granddaughter, Sarah. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James "Jim" Kieffer; children, Jeff (Bobbi), Dennis (Amy), David (Laurie), Gene (Lisa), Linda (Gary) Becker, Janel Kieffer and Jill (John) Tourville; 16 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; sisters, Rose Siebenaler, Mary Ellen Billmeyer; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at River of Life Church, 800 Vermillion Street, Hastings. A Visitation will be held at the church from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Sunday.Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
