Joan Link

Joan Link, age 85, of Hastings died surrounded by her family January 1, 2015 after complications from a brain aneurysm. She was born October 4, 1929 in Waverly, MN to Anthony and Anne (Berres) Malone. Joan graduated from Monticello High School and went on to attend business school in Minneapolis. She married Wayne O. Link August 12, 1948 at St. Henrys Catholic Church in Monticello. She and Wayne were former owners of the Trophy House in New Trier, Links Cafeteria in the Dakota County Government Center, and Links Family Restaurant, both in Hastings. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many. Joan is reunited in heaven with her husband Wayne; parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Marilyn (Randy) Stricker of Apache Junction, AZ, Ken (Harriet) Link of Woodville, WI, Kathy (Dennis) Stricker of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Diane (Glen) Leighty of River Falls, WI, Anthony Link of Hastings, Laurie (Jim) Brausen of Farmington, MN, Annette (Steven) Watson of Hampton, MN, Jeff (Beth) Link of Hastings; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Martin Siebenaler will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 8 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 FifteenthStreet West, Hastings with visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral. A family interment will take place at St. Henrys Cemetery in Monticello, MN at 11:00 Friday, January 9, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donors choice.
