Jim W. Kruse

Joseph "Jim" Kruse, age 84 of Miesville died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home. Jim was born April 8, 1930 in Miesville, MN to Joseph and Marie (Eilen) Kruse. He married Margot Webb on June 22, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville and worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #322 for 55 years. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, and did a lot of wood working. He loved baseball and had served on the board of the Miesville Mud Hens. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Edward, Lucille, Roger and Gerald; brothers-in-law Jerry Fox and Matty Thurmes. Jim is survived by his wife Margot; daughter Victoria Kruse of West Sacramento, CA; son Joe (Kim) Kruse of Red Wing, MN; grandchildren Grace, Max and Paige; great grandchild Alaina; sisters Eleanor Thurmes, Dorothy Fox and Mary Jane (Tom) Bement; brother Robert (Mary Lou) Kruse; also many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Lenny Andrie will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, November 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Miesville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at church.
