Jerome Roy Anderson

Jerome Roy Anderson, age 84 of Apple Valley, formerly of NE Minneapolis, born Feb 4, 1925 in Minneapolis to Roy and Mildred Anderson, passed away August 30, 2009. Jerome graduated in 1943 from Edison High School and in 1949 from the University of Minnesota. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 42 years in the U.S.A.F., serving as a fighter pilot in WWII and Korea. He was also employed as an engineer for 36 years in his civilian life. Jerome is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma. He is survived by his daughters, Cheri (Terry) Holtzworth and Donna (Bill) Ogorzalek; grandchildren: Chenin Holtzworth, Julie (Al) Heitzman, Matthew Ogorzalek, Monica (Greg) Glaser, and Jennifer (Ryan) Fernandez; and great-granddaughters, Kristine and Colette. Funeral service is 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2009 with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley. Interment to follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
