Jeremy M. Lakin

Jeremy M. Lakin, age 41 of Hastings, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 19, 2018, at Living Well Group Home in West St. Paul. Jeremy Michael, the son of Katherine “Kathy” Lakin, was born on February 1, 1977, in Hastings. Jeremy was his mother’s star and guiding light. No matter where he went, Jeremy was a magnet to those around him. He was very strong willed, and loved to be around family. Jeremy always smiled, and enjoyed listening to music and the quietness of weekends. Jeremy will always be our ray of sunshine that lit up every room. He is survived by his mother, Kathy; father, Marty Lakin; sister, Jessica Rae Lakin; niece, Taylor Velishek; nephew, Beau Velishek; grandparents, Roger and Joan Tonsager; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly. Memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, December 22, 2018, at the Wise Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Hastings, with a memorial service officiated by Gordon Gathright at 6:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Living Well Disability Services in memory of Jeremy. Arrangements are being completed by Wise Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Hastings.
