Jennie L. Weappa

Jennie L. Weappa, age 77, of Hastings died on May 14 at her residence. She was born August 4, 1933 in Detroit, MI to Howard and Grace (Rifenbark) Armstrong. She married James Weappa on April 30, 1955 in Bad Axe, MI. Jennie worked as an LPN at the Regina Nursing Home prior to retirement and enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard.Jennie is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children Deb (Paul) Neitzke of Sartell, Bonnie (Mark) Ringoen of Glenville, Karen (Jerry) Linnell of Welch, Chuck (Cris) Weappa of Inver Grove Heights, Judy (Randy) Blanchard of Hastings Jessica Weappa of Minneapolis; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley MacLean of Flint MI Jean Haley-Stienhebel of Marlette, MI; faithful companion Marty the dog many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:30AM Wednesday at OUR SAVIOUR'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Private Interment. Jennie's children will serve as pallbearers.
