Jeannine E. Deitner

Jeannine E. Deitner, age 83 of Hastings, died March 2, 2015 at Regina Nursing Home in Hastings. Jeannine was born October 11, 1931 in Minneapolis to Archie and Lila (Hautamaki) Mattson. She was a graduate of Humboldt High School in St. Paul in 1949. Jeannine married William Deitner in 1956 in St. Paul and was a homemaker whose passion in life was raising her children and nine grandchildren. She loved traveling especially to the north shore of Lake Superior. She will be remembered for her generous spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William; brothers Clarence and Lawrence, and infant sister Shirley. Jeannine is survived by her children William "Bill" (Linda) Deitner of Hastings, Brad (Beth) Deitner of Welch, Bryan (Risa) Deitner of Perth, Australia, and Beth (Derek) Lee of Waconia; grandchildren Ben, Breanne, Jeff, Kate, Chase, Logan Deitner and James, Daniel and Clayton Lee; sister Kathleen (Bill) Kelley-Mateer of Forest Lake; also extended family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, March 6, 2015 at Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are her nine grandchildren. Memorials are preferred to the Union Gospel Mission of St. Paul at which she volunteered.
