Jeanne C. Ptaschinski

Jeanne Cecilia Buchmeier Menard Ptaschinski, age 84, of Hastings, passed away peacefully December 13, 2020 due to breast cancer with family by her side. She was born Nov 23, 1936. Jeanne was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, bibi, and friend. She was kind and gracious to all without complaint. She challenged others to be their best selves and stood up for what she believed in. Jeanne’s occupation in life was mother and nurse, the majority of her nursing career managing nursing homes. She was charitable and volunteered many hours feeding/caring for people and time with hospice patients. Jeanne is survived by her children, Ray (Lonnie) Menard, Jeannette (Bob) Sindt, Cherise (Kirk) Skeba, Pierre (Kim) Menard, Gloria (Rob) Berg, Burnadette (Joe) Kimmes, Andre (Cara) Menard; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; a multitude of nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Her memories will live strong in their hearts and her legacy will continue. Preceding Jeanne in death were her husbands, Andre Menard and Dick Ptaschinski; grandchildren, Rena Menard (Ray) and Daniel Sindt (Jeannette); brothers, Bob and Joe Buchmeier. Private family funeral services (as Jeanne would say “due to this COVID crap”) are being coordinated by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, Jeanne requested donations to Hastings Family Services or Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
