Jeanette Carl

Jeanette Carl, age 74, of Hastings, died unexpectedly Friday at United Hospital in St. Paul.She was born November 4, 1936 in Hastings to Michael Gregor and Clara (Siebenaler) Mamer. She attended local schools. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at several health care facilities. Jeanette was a loving mother and grandmother and her family was most important in her life. She was also an avid reader.Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, her step father Raymond Rother, a brother Eugene Mamer. She is survived by her children Jean (Dick) Schluessler of Hastings, LeRoy Carl of Hastings, Brenda (Kevin Tix) Carl of Hastings, Catherine (Theodore) Goude of Davenport, Iowa and Sandra (Michael) Greten of Hastings. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, her siblings Rita Regenscheid of Randolph, MN, Linda Bain of Edgewater, FL and Raymond Rother of Hastings.A visitation for Jeanette will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home and also on Wednesday at the church 1 hour prior to the funeral.The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street West, Hastings. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
